First order for our new office in Brazil

Matrix has received its first purchase order worth $1.8 million through its new office in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The order is from one of the world's leading deep-water drilling contractors. Matrix will supply the new riser buoyancy to replace damaged modules on a drillship that will be used off the coast of Brazil.
The order is from a long standing global client whom Matrix has supplied riser buoyancy modules to for several years.
Matrix awarded Cooperation Agreement worth $35-$50 million per annum for up to 5 years

Matrix has been awarded a cooperation agreement by a leading European oil services company to be the primary supplier of riser buoyancy modules for the next three years, with two one year options following. Based on historical performance, the agreement will potentially be worth around $35-$50 million per year in revenue to up to five years.

New office and new markets in Brazil

Matrix will be opening a new sales office in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in January 2012. The new office will allow Matrix to effectively service its South American client base as well as the region's growing buoyancy repair and replacement market. Brazil is one of the world's largest markets for riser buoyancy as a third of the world's floating drilling vessels reside in the region. Read more

Matrix grows its US network

Matrix is opening a new warehouse in Houston, USA in January 2012. The warehouse will enable Matrix to store and release stock as required by clients located in the northern hemisphere. A service facility is also planned for Houston in the near future.
The opening of the new warehouse is part of our key corporate strategy to expand our global geographical network.
New Composite Drilling & Completions Centralisers

Matrix has released an extended range of patented composite drilling and completions centralisers. The centralisers are used in offshore drilling and completions for the construction of horizontal, long reach, deviated and extended reach drilling wells. Read more

Matrix awarded contract for $46.5 million

Matrix has recently received a contract for $46.5 million. The contract is for the supply of riser buoyancy modules to a major marine riser equipment supplier for use on drillship projects in Brazil and West Africa, and for an extension to an operating rig off the Gulf of Mexico. Read more

Matrix Wins at the 2011 WA Industry & Export Awards

Matrix Composites & Engineering Ltd won the category of ‘Large Advanced Manufacturer’ at the 2011 WA Industry & Export Awards held on Friday 14th October 2011. The award category recognised outstanding export achievement by a manufacturer with total annual sales of $30 million or more. Matrix now progresses through as a finalist to the Australian Export Awards. Winners will be announced at the gala dinner on Thursday 8th December 2011.
Malaga plant re-assigned to new Henderson plant
