Nigel Johnson
Non-Executive Chairman

Nigel was appointed to the board of Matrix in April 2008. Nigel is a Chartered Accountant with over 36 years experience in finance and management having worked for a number of listed and private companies across a range of countries and industries.

Most recently, Nigel was the Chief Financial Officer for Straits Resources Limited, responsible for all the financial, commercial and treasury activities of the Straits Group.

Nigel has not held any other listed company directorships in the last three years.

Aaron Begley
Chief Executive Officer

Aaron was appointed to the Matrix board in 1999. He has been the managing director of the Advanced Materials division since 1999 and has played a central role in the development of Matrix’s products and markets.

Prior to establishing the Advanced Materials division, Aaron worked for Matrix’s Heavy Engineering division as business development manager through which he developed an extensive network of customers and contacts in the global oil and gas, plastics and defence sectors.
Aaron has not held any other listed company directorships in the last three years.

Paul Wright
Executive Director

Paul was appointed to the board of Matrix in July 2007. Paul is an accountant with over 25 years experience in heavy engineering businesses.

Prior to joining Matrix in 1996, Paul was the managing director of Centurion Industries Limited (now part of the RCR Tomlinson Limited) which was formed as a result of an employee buyout of the Tomlinson Steel operations.

Paul is also the Chief Financial Officer and Joint Company Secretary for Matrix.

Paul has not held any other listed company directorships in the last three years.

Maxwell Begley
Non-Executive Director

Max is the founder of Matrix. He has been a director of Matrix since 1990. Max has over 50 years experience in the oil & gas and resources sectors having established Matrix’s heavy engineering business in 1982.

Max has not held any other listed company directorships in the last three years.

Craig Duncan
Non-Executive Director

Craig was appointed to the Matrix board in December 2007. He holds Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma in Petroleum Engineering and has over 30 years experience in the offshore oil & gas industry.

Craig is currently the drilling and well construction manager for the national Thai oil company, PTTEP. Prior to joining PTTEP, Craig was the Drilling Superintendent at Apache Energy Limited for 12 years.

Craig has not held any other listed company directorships in the last three years.
