Matrix syntactic foams and composite materials are specifically engineered to suit a diverse range of different applications. The Hytac family of syntactic foams is designed specifically for the production of thermoforming plug assists; MicroSyn monolithic syntactics are used in deepwater applications such as ROV and AUV buoyancy; and the acoustic properties of syntactics are utilised for transponder mounts in sonar systems and other military and civilian acoustic devices.
Coupled with Matrix's materials technology the company also offers a CNC machining service which enables fully machined custom parts to be delivered. The company has a Robotic machining capacity with a 3m arm radius and a number of CNC machines designed to machine syntactic foams and composites.
